This was the missing cooler where they kept perishables such as meat. They left the box in their truck because it was stale, and had an awful smell. They however did not understand how the snake found it considering how safely they had stored it. The snake probably smelled the cooler and assumed it was prey. After removing the cooler, the vet stitched the snake up.
